So, I spent the gloriously sunny bank holiday moving house and moving studio and this fresh start has left me feeling really positive. Perhaps its the unmistakable feeling of spring in the air or the new financial year but now we are settled into to our new home I feel more inspired and motivated than I have for a long time. This new blog will be a more personal and immediate view into my work and my studio – somewhere I can reflect on what I’m thinking, designing and making. It’s a new adventure for me and slightly out of my comfort zone but I think that’s probably a very good thing.

Moving  is always hard work but  a brilliant opportunity to get rid of the rubbish and have a good spring clean. The studio is just about in order now,  loads of stuff went to the charity shops and recycling centre and I have found so many things I had forgotten about.  I now have space to get to my work benches without tripping over the junk that always seems to accumulate over time.

The new studio is a lovely bright little Victorian attic room and it’s the sixth studio I’ve had in the past 5 years. I’m so looking forward to my first day in there making but for now there are still one or two more boxes to unpack . xx
